The game
What does a Quiz Boxing game consist of?
Leonoria QuizBoxing is an interactive, strategic, TV show style quiz game, where players compete against each other - individually or in pairs - in a unique game arena accompanied by sound, smoke, and light effects.
During the game, you’ll encounter various game types and 20 different topics to choose from (and you can even use your own questions).
We have two game arenas, each with six podiums, with one or two players able to play behind each one, so up to 12 players can participate simultaneously in a 50- to 60-minute quiz game in a single arena. You decide whether to play in pairs or individually. (With two players, the competition is always individual.)
The game is available in four languages: Hungarian, English, French and Spanish. (You can play one game in one language.)
Is it possible to play with my own questions?
It is also possible to play with your own questions, if we receive a set of questions that meets our requirements at least 72 hours before the game.
The entire game can be played using only your own questions (except for the music recognition game) or by mixing your questions with those from the Leonoria QuizBoxing topics.
How many can we play at the same time?
There are 6 podiums in each arena, with one or two players able to play behind each one, so a maximum of 12 players can participate simultaneously in a single arena during the 50- to 60-minute quiz game.
Players behind the podiums compete against players behind the other podiums. You decide whether to play in pairs or individually. (If there are only two players, the competition is always individual.)
If your group has more than 12 people, the competition will take place in two separate arenas, independent of each other. If your team has more than 12 members, please contact us.
Are the quiz games closed?
Each TV-style game room is private to your team, so no one else can join you. It's up to you who you share the game experience with!
When should you arrive?
We would like to ask that you arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled time so that you have time to familiarize yourselves with the rules of the game, agree on the game’s themes, and so that we can make all the necessary preparations.
Who can take part in the quiz?
The Leonoria QuizBoxing is recommended for everyone ages 10 and up and provides an enjoyable gaming experience.
Whether children ages 7–10 play on their own or with a parent or older sibling is up to their parents. The game is not recommended for children younger than this age.
For safety reasons and to ensure the quality of the game, individuals not participating in the game are not permitted in the game area.
Pets may be brought to the quiz venue only after prior arrangement with Leonoria QuizBoxing.
Individuals who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs may not participate in the game.
Is there someone on the ground who can help us?
Yes, there is always someone on the premises who can answer your questions and introduce you to the game.
How long is a game?
The game itself lasts 50–60 minutes, depending on the number of players, their pace, and the number of topics chosen.
Setting up the game, selecting the topics, and explaining the rules takes an additional 10–15 minutes.
Are you allowed to take photos or video?
Sure! And the pictures or videos are worth sharing!
Booking
How can we make a reservation?
You can make a reservation on our website, either by credit card or by paying on-site after arranging a time by phone or email.
Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you at the time you wish to play.
Is there a difference between the two arenas?
There is no difference between the arenas; the two are simply handled separately due to the reservation system.
If, because of the size of your team, you would like to play in both arenas at the same time, please contact us separately.
Is it possible to refund or modify my booking?
The reservation is valid regardless of the number of players, and the playing time can still be used even if the team arrives with fewer players than planned. Since the service is provided (the game is available at the reserved time), we cannot offer refunds for pre-purchased tickets in such cases. In such cases, you have the option to play with fewer players or, upon request, reschedule the reservation for another time.
If you wish to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can find an ideal new time for you and make the vacated slot available to others who wish to play.
If you’re unsure about the number of players on your team, you can choose to book via email or phone and pay on-site.
If there are more players than the number specified at the time of booking, you can pay the fee for the additional players on-site; there’s no need to notify us of this in advance.
What happens if we are late?
We will do everything we can to ensure that you can still play even if you are late, but we reserve the right to consider the reservation canceled without a refund if your team is more than 15 minutes late for the scheduled start time of your game, as we may not be able to provide the service due to the delay.
Location
Where are the Quiz Boxing arenas located?
The Quiz Boxing arenas are located in the “LEONORIA” arcade, a few minutes walk from the Nyugati Square in Budapest, at 18 Jókai Street.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the streets in the area. Watch out for parking time zones!
Other informations
How safe is the quiz game?
Absolutely. There is no physical contact during the game. The playing area is not locked, the exit is accessible at any time. The surfaces of the game machines are disinfected several times a day. The location is equipped with a disinfecting machine and we can provide a mouth mask on request.
Is the location accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Unfortunately, due to the specific design of the building, we are unable to provide wheelchair access to the games areas.
Can I pack my coat and bag?
Yes, we have placed lockers in the shop area near the arenas where you can put your coats and bags.
Is there a toilet on site?
Yes, the premises are equipped with toilets.
Can I buy food or drinks from you?
Unfortunately, we do not sell food or drinks.
Can I bring in food or drinks?
In the shop area yes, but not in the games area, so please place these in the lockers.
